We Need Your Help!
In the past three weeks, our little rescue has taken in a pair of Maltese (Logan and Leia) from a Wisconsin breeder release, a special needs senior from Chicago Animal Care & Control (Jacqueline), a special needs senior from an Alachua County, FL, animal shelter (McGee), a special needs senior from Anti-Cruelty Society of Chicago (Vanessa) and three puppy mill girls (Bella, Maria and Lucia) from Michigan. For a rescue with only 11 foster homes, that’s a pretty large intake!
We have been able to raise intake sponsorships (to cover vaccinations, spay/neuter, heartworm tests, etc.) for all but Bella, Maria and Lucia, so if you can help us raise their sponsorship money, please click here.
Two of our new special needs seniors, Jacqueline and McGee, have turned out to have conditions requiring major surgeries to remove their eyes (one eye each), and so our Vet Fund has taken a pretty substantial hit with these unexpected expenses. So, of course, we’ve had to begin some pretty extensive fundraising efforts.
